TEKLYNX Software Activation & Transfers

Activate your TEKLYNX software by following these steps:

Note: To determine whether your software version is supported, see the Support Life Cycle. If you have any questions about reactivations, please contact Customer Support.

Replacing an active license with a new license or transferring a license to a new computer?

If you are replacing an existing license or need to transfer your license to a different computer, you MUST deactivate the existing license before you install the new software. For instructions, go to the TEKLYNX Support Center and search "how to deactivate".

Activating an online single user license

1. Open your TEKLYNX software License Manager.
2. Select Activate.
3. Enter your Serial number and Password and click Next.
4. Enter your company’s information and click Next. (Make sure to enter correct information here. If you ever lose your serial number and need TEKLYNX to retrieve it, we do so based on the information you enter here.)
5. Click Finish and the software will launch automatically.

Activating an online network user license

1. Download and install Network License Manager files onto your machine.
2. Open the Network Toolbar.
3. Select the License Upgrade button in the Network Toolbar.
4. Select Activate and follow the activation prompts.
5. In the Network Toolbar, open the License Service Controller option.
6. If the services are already running, pause them.
7. Start the services by clicking on the Play button.
8. Open the Network Administration Tool on the machine(s) where the software is installed.
9. Check the Use Network License Box.
10. In the Server Location box, type in \\[Name of the host machine].
11. Click OK.

Activating an offline license by phone

If you are using the Activate By Phone option in the offline software activation wizard, click here to get your validation and installation codes.

Transferring your single user software license

1. Install your label design software on your NEW machine.
2. Open the license manager.
3. Select the Deactivate software license option.
4. Select Finish.
5. Open the license manager on your new machine.
6. Select Activate.
7. Follow the prompts to activate the license.

Transferring your network user software license

1. Install Network License Manager on your NEW machine.
2. Open the Network Toolbar.
3. Select the License Upgrade option in the Network Toolbar.
4. Select the Deactivate software license option.
5. Select Finish.
6. Open the Network Toolbar on your new machine.
7. Select the License Upgrade option in the Network Toolbar.
8. Follow the prompts to activate the license.
