• Globally Harmonized System (GHS): GHS is an international standard for sorting and labeling chemicals. The Final Rule states that all chemical manufacturers, importers, distributors, and employers must comply with all modified provisions. • Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA): FSMA requires food & beverage companies to establish and implement a food safety system that includes an analysis of hazards and risk-based preventive controls. • Unique Device Identifier (UDI) and Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA): The FDA requires all medical devices distributed in the United States (US) be labeled with a Unique Device Identifier (UDI), a special code that is used to mark and identify medical devices within the supply chain.
