I set up a counter on my label and it does not seem to be incrementing (counting) properly. How can I correct this? |

Check the increment method settings in LABELVIEW to diagnose this problem:- Select Edit > Label Setup from the File Menu. The Label Setup dialog box will open.

- Click the Options tab

- Select the proper incrementation method:
- Printer - Forces your printer to control the counting.
This is the default setting in LABELVIEW. It allows the software to send the starting value to the printer along with a command to increment the starting value. If your printer has limited memory, TEKLYNX recommends that you use this option along with Printer Resident Fonts for incremented values.

- Software - Forces the software to control the counting.
Using the software method is typically slower, but it is also less prone to errors. Selecting this option forces LABELVIEW to generate a graphic for the incremented value for each individual label. Note that this option preferred when you are using True Type Fonts for incremented values.

- Hexadecimal - Instead of using the standard base10 numbering system (0123456789), selecting this option will force LABELVIEW to count using the base16 numbering system (0123456789ABCDEF).

- Once you have selected the appropriate incrementation setting for your label and printer, click OK to exit the Label Setup dialog box. In order to make changes take effect, some printers require an additional job to be received or a power cycle.
