How do I increase the padded characters of a counter? |
 |
| |
A padded character is a leading character such as leading zeros (0) in the number 0001. By default, there are four nines (9999) in the reset counter to "After" value field on the counter tab of the Counter Variable, the Form Counter Variable or the Free Counter Variable. To increase the value, add the extra nines until you get the desired padded amount in the After field.
Now look on the Output tab in the variable properties. The field Pad To X Characters changed from 4 to the value of 9’s you added. If you would like to change the padded character from a 9 to a 0 you may do this under the variable output tab “padding character” select “character” and enter your padded character.
